England and Scotland Research

Great Britain Research:
The treaty of union was between England and Scotland, together named Great Britain. The Treaty were agreed on 22nd of July 1706, and lasted until 1707. The positive side for being a treaty, is to give a lot of information about the treaties that were signed in the past, in the 1700s. The negatives of the history known from the Scottish and England Act of Union, is when we know some of the Scottish people wanted to be free and be an independent country during the Scottish Independence. As much as the Scottish people wanted to an independent country, the majority of people who said "No" was to equal everything between each groups. The Treaty of Union between Scotland and England uniting, was known that it had been proposed for a hundred years before it really happened in 1707.

BBC info:
During the time in 1706, it was agreed for the treaty to be faced between England and Scotland, in negotiations in London. England was keeping everything to themselves secretly, promises and everything because they weren't to sure if they would trust the Scottish people so that Scotland would not lose out from union. The councillors in the Scottish Royal Burghs has sent an event of a written request to the Scottish parliament throughout the debates, voicing concern about the Treaty.

Musket wars

1. The Maori people traded food and flax with Pakeha for the muskets.
2. The musket wars killed over 20,000 people.
3. Tribes without muskets were forced to seek trade with Pakeha for their own because otherwise they would have no chance of winning these battles

The muskets killed over 20,000 people which did show how powerful the weapon was for all the tribes to want. 1 Tribe traded food and flax with Pakeha for muskets so that powers can be even between the two groups. The musket wars caused increased violence and deaths because there was no laws around the ownership/trading of muskets. A treaty prevent this and provide stability.

The Treaty Essay Practise

Historians argue that understanding the causes of significant events is much more important than just remembering dates, facts and figures about things in the past. Signed in 1840, the Treaty of Waitangi is an agreement between Māori—tangata whenua of Aotearoa/New Zealand—and the British.

Causes:
1. Lawless
2. Rights
3. Muskets
4. Dec of I

There were 4 main causes that require an agreement to be between the Maori and Pakeha. The Treaty of Waitangi was signed in 1840 because the Maori and Pakeha had been through different interconnected situations.

The Lawless Behaviour was located in Russell, because there were tough situations between each group. If the treaty isn't signed then both parties would not stop fighting each other until they get what they want. The argument in Russell needed to be stopped even if in a different location, fighting and drinking was used a lot by both parties, and it created a huge mess in the land of Russell. To stop the situations from both sides building up, both would need to sign the treaty for things to get better and so if both parties were to agree everything they want would be received

Essay Brainstorming

School should be closed when its hotter than 30 degrees:
"Agree"

I agree that school should be close when its hotter than 30 degrees. During class while working, it will be hard to focus while competing against the heat. Sometimes being hot can make you tired, your body won't handle the heat and you would lose ideas. Sometimes people can handle the heat, and they like it, because they could think of many things to do during interval or after school. After all I would still have to agree with my choice, to close school during hot days, I can't focus with work, and I can just melt on the spot.

Setting 7 rifts coming from the roof,
Building power to teleport the meteor,
It was too strong it shot to the core.

Fortnite with the black hole,
Staring deep at it to its soul,
Fortnite coming to its finish line,
Let Chapter 2 begin its time.

Memories saved since season 1,
Chapter 2 has now begun,
Map looking ugly as hell,
I really don't know about the game I can't tell.

Critical literacy - Nosedive

How are adults constructed in this text?
Adults in this film Black Mirror, Nosedive, are constructed to show what social media is, and how people use them. Adults are used a lot in this film, to show the strong side of social media no children are used in this film because children don't really know the meaning of social media and how to use them properly.

What kind of social reality does this text portray?
People rate each other before or while having a conversation, they use manners and show maturity to get a good rate from 1 to 5. This doesn't exist in our world today to show each others personality, but we do rate things that we use and buy to let the owners know how we feel about the products.

How does this text construct a version of reality?
This can be really interesting if everyone had the rights to rate each other, because right now it doesn't exist in our world today.

Essay Brainstorming

Cat make better pets than dogs
"Disagree"

I believe dogs are better than cats because they are more physical than cats and more fun because they are interested in a lot of outside games.

You can take dogs out to the beach or the park to play with, you can think of anything to make dogs play, like find sticks on the ground and play fetch.

Cats basically just sit inside buildings, wanting treats, and good to make them like you. They don't listen to you unless you have something that they want. Cats saliva bath and dogs don't, giving dogs a bath can clean them very well and having them to smell good.

Dogs can come in different sizes and you could get whatever suites your family. Cats look the same but some with different colours.

Batteries

A battery is a device made up of one or more electrochemical cells. Phones, Flashlights, Electric cars and many more use batteries. The battery that we were working on in science was a wet cell battery, this battery is used to work giant vehicles just like cars and aeroplanes. Dry cell batteries are used to work lots of things.
